LENA Grow Teacher Certification Process
Teachers can obtain LENA Grow certification by passing a quiz early in their Grow sequence, meeting certification requirements for LENA Day and coaching session participation, and then submitting a survey at the end of the sequence.
Since teachers cannot log into LENA Online, certification is initiated and facilitated by the coach using the LENA Online Coaching Session Preparation screen and Certification dashboard.

1. Enrollment
At the beginning of the sequence and before the first baseline/practice LENA Day, the coach adds teachers to the Room Profile. Teachers who are listed can pursue certification during this sequence if desired.
Pro Tip: Teacher Orientation attendance is required for certification, so just after Orientation is a great time to enroll the teachers who attended!
2. Complete teacher quiz: Understanding LENA Reports
After two coaching sessions, the coach sends each enrolled teacher the Understanding LENA Reports quiz.
To do this, the coach clicks a button on the Session Prep screen for Coaching Session #3. The system then sends an email to the teacher with instructions and a link to take the quiz.
A perfect score is required, but the quiz allows as many retakes as necessary.
The Quiz Status will change from SENT from PASSED within an hour after the teacher completes the quiz.
3. Complete LENA Days and Coaching Sessions
Active participation in LENA Days, coaching sessions, and goal setting is required, of course!

4. Coach verifies the requirements were met and sends the teacher survey
After the final coaching session, the coach clicks a "verify" button on the Session Prep screen or Certification screen.
The coach can attest that the teacher met all participation requirements.
This verification step also sends an email to the teacher with instructions and a link to complete the program survey.
5. LENA Grow Program Survey
The teacher completes the 5-10 minute survey.
6. Certification!
LENA sends a congratulatory email to the teacher with a link to his or her certificate. The teacher can print or save the certificate.
The coach can also view, print, or save certificates from the LENA Grow Certification dashboard.
