Snapshot errors: Wrong child, incorrect birth date, mistakes on responses
Mistakes happen. Common data entry errors include:
- Snapshot item responses entered incorrectly
- Snapshot assigned to the wrong child
- Date of administration incorrect
- Child's date of birth incorrect
The Snapshot needs to be deleted from the database, and the answers re-entered.
Why? The scores are calculated at the time of submission, based on the date administered. There isn't a way to manually change an answer, the date, or the child's date of birth and have it automatically recalcuate.
1. Make sure you have the information you'll need to re-enter the Snapshot.
If the caregiver filled it out on paper, ensure you still have a copy of the paper.
If the Snapshot data exists only in LENA Online, then please export the Snapshot before contacting LENA. The export shows the response to each numbered question.
2. Contact LENA support to delete the Snapshot
Email [email protected], and provide the following:
- Snapshot date
- Snapshot ID
- The child's LENA ID
- The reason for the deletion.
We will confirm that the Snapshot has been deleted, and then you can re-enter the data.
